2007 Best Places to work
Every year Merit Resources works with the Business Record, Risk Management Consultants and the Central Iowa Chapter of SHRM, by sponsoring a program to identify the best places to work in Central Iowa.
Participation in this program is open to companies in the Central Iowa area, with several ways of being recognized and rewarded for your efforts as business leaders to ensure your company is a great place to work!
There were several great participants in 2007! In addition to other great companies, we would proudly like to recognize two of our clients Lakeview Surgery and Iowa Healthcare Association for their achievement as finalist companies in the "2007 Best Places to Work in Central Iowa!" Congratulations!
The 2008 event is being planned now. Once a company decides to participate, employees will receive a confidential e-mail inviting them to complete the survey via a secure website. This survey will take 8-10 minutes to complete and contains approximately 50 questions with ten themes:
- Alignment with goals
- Trust in senior leaders
- Manager effectiveness
- Trust with coworkers
- Team effectiveness
- Individual contribution
- Feeling valued
- Work engagement
- Retention risk
- People practices
The project is based on third-party, statistically sound methodology from Quantum Market Research (QMR), the survey division of Right Management Consultants, who has conducted similar studies across the country. Survey results are kept confidential.
What's happening for 2008?
Companies will be recognized in a special Business Record publication and honored on May 6th in Des Moines where awards will be presented to the top three companies. Additionally, nine winning companies will receive in-depth feedback on their survey results at no charge. All participating companies will have an option of securing results from Right Management Consultants.
The deadline to enter is February 28th so don't wait to sign up!
