Joel Duncan, President/CEO
Since March 2007, Joel Duncan has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Merit, Joel served as Senior Vice President, Field Operations at Selective HR Solutions, Inc. in Sarasota, FL overseeing all human resources services delivery, and sales and marketing initiatives since May 1994. Joel earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ouchita Baptist University, and serves on the Board of Directors of the industry association (NAPEO). |

Pam Clearwater, Vice President, Finance/CFO
Pam Clearwater joined Merit in 2001. She received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics from the University of Northern Iowa. She is a CPA and has accumulated over 20 years of accounting experience with a number of firms. Pam serves on the Board of Directors for the Clive, Iowa Chamber of Commerce, and as the Chair of the NAPEO Accounting Pratices Committee. Prior to joining Merit she was Chief Financial Officer for Wolfe Clinic.

Jeff Caracci, Vice President, Information Technology
Jeff Caracci joined Merit in 2007, and oversees Merit’s technology infrastructure, IT staff and facilities. Prior to joining Merit Jeff was Director of Information Systems at the Pella Regional Health Center. Jeff has also worked as a Design Engineer at Maytag. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. |

Andy TeBockhorst, Vice President, Marketing
Andy TeBockhorst joined Merit in 2008, and directs all sales and marketing activities for Merit. Andy is a member of the Advisory Council for the Iowa Association of Business & Industry, is on the Communications Council for Character Counts! In Iowa and the NAPEO Public Relations Committee. He earned a BA in Journalism & Marketing from Drake University and an MBA from the University of Iowa. |

Lisa Welshhons, Vice President, Client Services
Lisa Welshhons joined the Merit Resources team in 2000. She has a bachelor’s degree in public relations and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Lisa also has a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has completed her certification in Human Resources-Related Law from Simpson College.

Sean Yolish, Vice President, Benefits
Sean Yolish joined Merit in 2007. Sean has worked in the PEO industry since 1996, wearing many hats throughout his career, working in the areas of employee benefits, payroll administration, legal compliance, workers’ compensation and risk management and others. Sean earned his B.A. from Eckerd College, is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and earned an Advanced Employment Law Certificate. |
